2010 Conference Session

Creating the Ideal Collection Environment

Today’s governments face ever increasing pressures to do more with less. When it comes to collections, vital decisions need to be made regarding staff efforts, technologies and vendor offered services that a government agency might employ to minimize costs while maximizing their revenue and collections results. This session will discuss these issues, options, technologies and actions that innovative government collection professionals can consider and act upon when trying to be more efficient, productive and effective in these challenging times.

Speaker: Craig Nielson

Craig Nielson has been assisting State, County and City governments within various government sectors, including courts, revenue, tax, treasury, enforcement and human services to implement compliance and collection solutions for the last 13 years. These efforts have helped RevQ to become the most installed vendor of government collection software in the United States.

Mr. Nielson is a well-regarded speaker on the topics of revenue enhancement and government collections. He has presented to audiences of the National Center for State Courts, the Federation of Tax Administrators, National Association of Court Management, the Court Technology Conference, the Association of Public Treasurers of the U.S. and Canada as well as numerous State and local government associations.

His philosophy emphasizes the innovative use of collection technologies and best practices to educate and enable governments in these activities.

Craig and his wife Stephanie are parents of four children and reside in the beautiful State of Washington.
